Our Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I heat my meal?

    To heat EatL8r Heat & Eat Meals, pierce the film, microwave on HIGH for approximately 2 minutes for Petite, 4 minutes for Regular or until piping hot. Containers are Microwave safe. Alternatively, put meal on a plate, cover with Clingfilm and re-heat in microwave.


    If you don’t have a microwave, you can reheat the food on a covered ovenproof plate, in the oven set @ 150ºC until piping hot.

  • When do I have to order my meals if I want them delivered?

    Any time before midday Monday on the week of delivery. We suggest going online and ordering or calling to leave a message over the weekend.

  • How do I order my meals?

    We have several different ways of ordering:

    1. Order Online - The best way to order is online, just go onto our website and place an order. Alternatively you can send us an email with your order to orders@eatl8r.co.nz
    2. Fill out a menu – You can fill in a menu for the whole month and hand it to your driver, this way your meals will just turn up each week without you having to think about it. 
    3. Give us a call - When you ring, leave a message with your name, address, telephone number, meal size, the delivery date and your order.
  • How do I pay for my meals if I choose to have them delivered?

    We accept Cash or Eftpos upon delivery (for Christchurch Metros only). Alternatively you can make a direct debit to our account, our bank details are as follows: 

    Food Solutions Christchurch Ltd – 020828 0064792 00 - Please use your name and delivery date as a reference. (Payment must be made by Tuesday before delivery).

    We can now also accept Credit Card payments over the phone (surcharge applies).

    We ask that all deliveries outside the Christchurch Metros be prepaid via one of the methods listed above.

  • What if I am not at home or have to go out when you deliver my meals to me?

    Because people have busy lives, we understand that you may not be able to be there when we arrive with your meal delivery. Simply leave a “chilly bin” at your door with a frozen slicker pad inside together with your payment. We will leave your meals in the bin and they will be nicely chilled when you get home to put them into your fridge. We cannot be held responsible for any meals left outside after delivery.

  • Is there a minimum amount of meals I have to order?

    You can order as many of each meal as you like, however we have a minimum of 2 x Petite meals or 2 x Regular meals to qualify for delivery. 

  • How much is it for delivery?

    Our delivery /administration fee per order is just $5.00 within Christchurch Metros, $10.00 to Outer regions (including Dunedin, Rolleston, Darfield, Banks Peninsula, Kaipoi, Rangiora etc). Outside of these areas is $15.00 - $25.00 (via courier - Amberley, Ashburton, Leeston, Oxford, Rest of South Island etc). We ask that all orders outside Christchurch Metros be prepaid in full before delivery.

  • How long will my meal stay fresh?

    Our meals are specially packaged and vacuum sealed to enable them to be kept fresh in the fridge for up to 7 days. After this time, they can be put in your freezer to eat later.

  • Can I pick up my meals if I do not want them delivered?

    Yes you can, we have meals in our shop at 9 Raycroft Street, Opawa available between 9am and 2pm, Monday to Thursday. We recommend you come in to the shop on a Thursday between 9am & 2pm to ensure you receive the ones you want, as stocks in the shop can be limited at other times.

  • Do you cater to specific dietary requirements?

    Because we are cooking family style dinners, we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements.

  • What size are your meals?

    Regular meals are a minimum of 450gms each, and the Petite meals are a minimum of 280gms each
